A teacher’s educational philosophy guides his/her practice in the classroom and is their guide for decision-making.
Directions:
You will write a well-developed and thought-out and complete essay that discusses your personal philosophy of education and theorists that have influenced your philosophy.  Your essay must: 

Include personal information
Be in APA format in writing the essay and cite any references that are used.
Be two typed pages.

Suggestions:
This essay will be used in the electronic portfolio you will be creating for your future classes in your major.  Please take the time to consider your personal philosophy in light of the learning theories you have become familiar with.  You may also want to take a look ahead at Chapter 6’s discussion of the philosophy of education to help you inform your views.
