In this week’s resources, you have learned the critical importance of a comprehensive needs assessment. You have also read about how priorities presented in a community action plan should stimulate discussions around strengthening a health educator’s relationship with the community for which it is designated to serve. “Planning is essential in developing a comprehensive and effective continuum of programs and services. A well thought-out planning effort can produce results-oriented programs.” (Community Action Planning Guide,” n.d. p.2)
For this Discussion, your Instructor will assign you one of four action plans: A,B,C or D.

Group A: Task Force Says Diet + Physical Activity Programs Help People at Risk for Type 2 Diabetes
Group B: Effectiveness of Health Communication Campaigns That Include Mass Media and Health-Related Product Distribution
Group C: Task Force Recommends Education Programs to Promote Health Equity
Group D: Universal Motorcycle Helmet Laws Recommended to Reduce Deaths and Injuries
Put which action plan, A, B, C or D, in the subject line of your post.
Post by Day 3, an explanation of the strengths and weaknesses of the action plan you have been assigned to. Explain modifications you would make to this action plan based on what you have learned in this course. Justify your rationale for these modifications.
Remember to begin interaction with your colleagues in the Discussion no later than Day 5 and continue engaging through Day 7 by responding to one or more colleagues who analyzed the other action plans. Explain additional strength or weakness in the action plans of those colleagues.
Support your work with specific citations from this week’s Learning Resources and additional scholarly sources as appropriate. Refer to the Essential Guide to APA Style for Walden Students to ensure that your in-text citations and reference list are correct.
